What is a Possible Cause of Bad Breath?Amazingly enough, there are hundreds of different ways in which you can be struck by bad breath. From the foods that you eat to the condition of your teeth, there are tons of different causes of bad breath that you should be aware of. Most of the time, we do not even think about our breath, but for many people out there suffering with halitosis, breath can be almost like a poison to relationships of all kinds. If have a problem with bad breath, you should know the most prominent cause of bad breath – because your halitosis may actually be caused by one of your habits. The single most common cause of bad breath comes from something you do each and every day – eat. We all have to eat food to survive, but some foods can actually contribute greatly to bad breath. What happens is when we eat a food that is chock full of nauseous aromas like garlic or onions, that smell gets trapped in our airways as well as in our teeth and gums. When we breathe out, we see that this food becomes a cause of bad breath because the trapped aromas escape and pollute the air around us. While a highly prominent cause of bad breath is contributed to the foods that we eat, your own body can also contribute to bad breath. One cause of bad breath is dry mouth, a condition that many people are diagnosed with each and every year. The lack of saliva in people with dry mouth prevents the body from removing all of the nasty chemicals and bacteria that cause bad breath in so many people. Therefore, if you think that your cause of bad breath is related to dry mouth, you may want to eat sugar free mints, drink plenty of water or have your dentist recommend some type of artificial saliva to ensure that you can wash away all of the impurities in your mouth that are causing your bad breath.
