What to Look for in a Bad Breath RemedySince bad breath is such a common condition among so many people in the United States, there are a multitude of different products out there on the market that are trying to tap into this potential marketing segment. Bad breath can be a major problem in social relationships of all sorts – from friendly to romantic, so it makes perfect sense that anyone suffering from bad breath should work long and hard at trying to cure what ails them. Unfortunately, not all products that are marketed under the guise that they will be the most beneficial bad breath remedy are all that they are cracked up to be. Most often, you should try and stay away from bad breath remedy products that promise more than you think they will be able to deliver – because chances are that they will not be able to deliver the goods after all. At your local drug store, you will most likely see a variety of mouthwashes, each of which is labeled as a bad breath remedy. While it is true that these products are designed to cover up the odor associated with bad breath, they are hardly a bad breath remedy. Sure, they kill off some of the bacteria and leftover food that is trapped in your mouth, and yes, they will cover up the stench of bad breath – but in the end they will not actually cure you of your condition. So, if you are looking for a temporary bad breath remedy or something to just cover it up, mouthwash, gum and mints all work very well. On the other hand, if you are looking for a true bad breath remedy that you can swish around in your mouth a couple of times a day, you may want to consider using a mixture of baking soda and water instead, as this will be a much more effective bad breath remedy in the long term.
